PURPOSE:To make the watch dial plate thinner by enabling the joining of the dial plate below the softening point through joining of the dial and the dial leg using an Au-Sn alloy. CONSTITUTION:A dial plate and a plate leg are joined together using a binding material composed of 10 to 85% Au and 15 to 90% Sn to form a watch dial plate. To this Au-Sn alloy, is added one or more kinds of 0.1 to 1% Ni, 0.1 to 15% Cu, 3 to 48% Ag, 0.1 to 10% P, 0.1 to 2% Co, 0.1 to 3% Ca, 0.1 to 3% Mn, 0.1 to 1% Pd, 0.1 to 5% Pt, 0.1 to 2% Rh, 0.1 to 6.4% Sb, 0.05 to 0.5% Se, and 0.05 to 2% Fe within the range of melting point not exceeding 450 deg.C. Consequently, metal and Sn forms an intermetalic compound or the like so as to be dispersed into the Au-Sn base alloy thereby noticeably improving the strength. |
