PURPOSE:To form precisely the contour lines of respective fluorescent surfaces, by forming, through electrodeposition, the fluorescent surfaces classified by color every predetermined display region in a multicolor-display cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:Conductive film patterns 5, 6, 7 corresponding to respective white, red, blue fluorescent surfaces are stuck onto the glass panel 1 of a cathod-ray tube by vacuum evaporation of aluminum or the like using a metal mask. Next, said panel 1 is dipped into an electrodeposition solution 8 dissolving white phospher thereinto in a tank 9, a DC power supply 10 is connected to an electrode 14 and the conductive film pattern 5 for the white, and then an electric current is forced to flow, thus the white fluorescent surface 11 is formed. Furthermore, the same operation is applied to the conductive film pattern 6 for red and the conductive film pattern 7 for blue in order to form respective fluorescent surfaces. Consequently, only one time mask operation is enough in the captioned process, so that respective fluorescent surfaces with clear and not rugged contour lines can be obtained. |
