PURPOSE:To enable an operator to decide immediately a fault of a host computer as well as the misloading of a disk by ejecting automatically the disk by the fault signal given from an index sensor. CONSTITUTION:In case a disk 2 is loaded by mistake given between the upper and lower surface sides of the disk, an index hole is not coincident with the position of an index sensor 6. Therefore, the pulse given from the sensor 6 does not produce a prescribed signal even though a medium sensor 4 detects the loading of the disk 2. In this case, a CPU1 actuates a transistor 8 to drive a solenoid 7 of a magnetic disk device 3. Thus a clamp state is released and the disk 2 is ejected. |
