PURPOSE:To prevent cracks and peelings otherwise generated on the enameled layer following welding by reducing the ratio of fused areas between the enameled layer and base iron material in the welding an enameled iron apparatus with laser beam or the like. CONSTITUTION:An enameled iron apparatus is welded by a high energy density heat source such as laser beam and electron beam under the inert gas seal. Here, the focal position of the beam is adjusted with a lens 2 so that the area ratio is less than 7 between the fused zone of the enameled layer g and the fused zone of iron base material. Following the welding, the apparatus is coated again with an enamel film at a sufficient thickness to cover the entire welded beads. In addition, no crack develops at the joint due to continuity of the base material and the enamel. |
