SYNTHETIC RESIN MODEL BEING COVERED WITH METAL FILM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a synthetic resin model which is covered with a metal film, and to obtain accurate outline dimensions even if the film thickness is not uniform, by forming the metal film by means of a special process. CONSTITUTION:An original pattern 1 such as a wood pattern is provided as a model in which a plaster or a synthetic resin is filled to form a female die 2. A molten metal such as nickle is sprayed on to the inner surface of the die 2, thus forming a metal film 3. Then the inner surface of the metal film 3 is filled with a synthetic resin 4. Finally, the female die 2 is removed to obtain a model 5 that is covered with the metal film 3.
