PURPOSE:To obtain the coptioned products having a wall film of low porosity in a short time, by dispersing water-insoluble capsule core substance in an aqueous solution of PVA base polymer having a cloud point, raising the temperature of the entire system above the cloud point to achieve liquid-liquid phase separation, and forming and hardening the polymer wall enveloping the core substance. CONSTITUTION:A water-insoluble capsule core substance is dispersed in an aqueous solution of partically saponified PVA of which degree of saponification is 60 to 85 mol %. The temperature of the entire system is raised above the cloud point of the PVA aqueous solution to achieve liquid-liquid phase separation, and a concentrated aqueous solution of PVA base polymer is formed in the surroundings of the core substance as a separated phase. The capsule wall enveloping the core substance is hardened by hardening agent. By this method, microcapsules of which diameter is about 1 to 5000mu may be arbitrarily produced, and the obtained capsules may be used in various fields such as pressure-sensitive copying paper, agricultural chemicals, perfumes, and adhesives. |
