<p>The paving machine has a trailing vibrating screed which is adjustable for width. The screed is subdivided into three transverse units, the two flank units being movable in either direction perpendicular to machine travel. Each unit incorporates a vibratable sole plate. The flank units are supported by telescopic hydraulic ram operated rams which cantilever from the central unit, the arms having inner, outer and intermediate sections. End plates of the flank units have apertures enabling them to slide along the outer section of the arm, the latter having a ridged octagonal section to prevent relative rotation.</p> |
