The anchoring ring is made of a solid piece of plastics defined by the intersection of two oblique parallel planes with a section having a cylindrical part whose internal diameter is equal to the external diameter of a plastics tube to which the ring is fitted. The ring has a lateral projection for fastening purposes. The section may in the form of a figure eight with an opening (9) in the web separating the two cylindrical parts. The angle of obliquity may be about 45 degrees and the separation of the planes may be between a half and twice the diameter of the tube.
