<p>An outer structure and an inner tensioning frame, each of which has a pair of straight parallel sides maintained in posn. by cross members, so that the inner can be inerted into the outer structure, form a support for embroidery work. A spring, thrusting, possibly telescopic mechanism is provided to ensure pressurised contact between the sides of the frame and those of the outer structure, as well as a means of locking their engagement together. The straight parallel sides of >=1 of the pairs may be braced by flexible blades positioned in a plane offset to the contacting faces against which the other pair of sides press. The contacting sides have complementary concave and convex surfaces. The device can be used with all types of thick and thin fabrics, which may be flexible or rigid, whether embroidered already or not.</p> |
