<p>This invention relates to a radial pump or motor comprising a cylinder block 5 receiving pistons 9, and which rotates on a control journal 4. Two opposite control ports 19 and 20 for the control of pressure medium are provided on the control journal 4 and are surrounded by sealing webs 25 extending around the entire control journal 4. The webs are formed as a surface projecting beyond the outer surface of the control journal 4. In operation, there are formed between the control ports 19 and 20 and the sealing webs 25, pressure fields which are of varying widths in the peripheral direction of the control journal 4 due to the shape of the sealing web 25 and the centre of action of which coincides substantially with the point of engagement of the force loading the control journal 4. <IMAGE></p> |
