The hydraulic drive contains a gas hydraulic store to produce a given hydraulic phase for the load and a pump to feed fluid from a container, with main pipes to feed the fluid to the load and to the store. A chamber (3) filled with flui has a volume equal to the fluid through part of the load (23). It is split by a piston (4) into two cavities, one of which is connected with thestore (1) via a main pipe (8) in which the pump is connected. The other cavity is connected with the pump by a pipe (8, 6) via a non-return valve (24) and with the load (23) via a controlled cut off device.
