The bearing system is for large stage light projection lamps. The bearing enables revolving about a vertical axis and swivelling about a horizontal axis. The lighting unit is readily handled and universally applicable for directing light. The bearing has an adjusting head with a spindle drive for swivelling movement. This drive is held in lateral support plates. A turntable carries the support plates and a second spindle drive rotates on the support.
