The dressing method is for stalk material by which crushing of the material and removing the juices by pressing is carried out in the same machine. The machine has a cylindrical housing (3) in which a number of pivotingly suspended impact element are operating. The material brought into the machine through hopper (5) are crushed by the flailing action of the impact elements (2) against the ribbed strips (4) fitted inside the housing in such a way that a helical path of the crushed material results. Due to his helical path the crushed material travels in axial direction towards the pressing section (6) where the juices are removed and seep into a container through perforations (7) while the bulk is discharged through opening (8).
