The invention relates to a mold for the production of a reinforced plastic tubular body having an annular groove such as a pipe coupling, said mold allowing accurate molding and comprising a mold body (1) and detachably mounted on a predetermined position thereon, an annular groove former (2) consisting of a surface layer (21) of an elastic material and a core (22) covered by the surface layer. In a method according to the invention, a reinforced plastic tubular body is produced by forming a layer (5) of a molding material around such a mold, curing the layer of molding material, separating the mold body (1) from the cured layer (5) of molding material, and then separating the annular groove former (2) from the cured layer (5) of molding material by removing the core (22) and the surface layer (21) in that sequence. |
