发明名称 PREVENTING METHOD FOR OXYGEN ENTRY OF CAST INGOT IN CONTINUOUS CASTING AND DEVICE THEREOF
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the entry of oxygen, enhance cleanliness of molten metal, save deoxidizer, etc. and increase tensile strength by cutting off the molten steel and air with an inert gas air curtain from the ladle up to tundish and mold. CONSTITUTION:In pouring molten steel from a ladle 1 into a mold 4 through tundish 2, an inert gas nozzle 3 such as of N2 gas or other is provided between the ladle 1, tundish 2 and mold 4. The nozzle 3 is provided to respective pouring ports or the position opposing to the pouring port and is so constituted that the nozzle orifices 3a, (5a) and fins 6 cause inert gas to form an air curtain toward one direction from above or below. In this way, the entry of oxygen, particulary the entry of bubbles in the ingot making process of molten steel is prevented. As a result, the need for deoxidizer is eliminated and quality improved.
