PURPOSE:To eliminate the excessive leakage of light, by a method wherein a cover for covering both side walls of the pointer part of an indication element is mounted to the indication element and an opaque cap for covering both side walls of the hand parts along with the cover is formed to said indication element by molding. CONSTITUTION:A light impervious cover 15 is formed of a high reflectivity material and constituted of a pair of cover pieces, which are closely contacted with the side walls 7, 7 of a hand part 2 at one end thereof to extend almost parallely so as to cover cavities 8, 8, and a connection part 18 mutually connecting both cover pieces at one ends thereof. A circular cap 25 has light imperviousness, that is, opacity and low luminosity reduced in reflectivity and, for example, is formed of a black material. This cap 25 is integrally formed along with the cover 15 and an indication element 2 by molding in such a state that the cover 15 is mounted to the indication element 2. Therefore, the cover is closely contacted with the indication element and the gap between both of them is not generated and light is not leaked.
