PURPOSE:To facilitate the easy designing of a metallic mold by using the data base information which includes the information on the parts forms and the drilling process of the parts of a metallic mold plate and the parts processing information and is stored in a memory in response to the parts names. CONSTITUTION:The parts processing information and the drilling information on parts of a metallic mold plate to which the parts are attached as well as the parts forms are stored in a large capacity storage device 15 as the data base information in response to the parts names. When a metallic mold is designed, both the parts and their attaching positions are specified through a keyboard 14a or a tablet 13. Then a processor 11a displays the parts forms and the processing form of the metallic mold plate at the prescribed positions of the metallic mold plate drawn on a CRT based on the data base information. At the same time, the processor 11a produces the NC data for processing of the metallic mold plate based on the specified parts position data and the data base information on parts after the input is through with data needed for design of the metallic mold.
