PURPOSE:To enable checking of destaticization with a simple construction by attaching a handle part and collar to the short circuiting part side of a bar which sandwiches and insulating block between a conductive top end part and the short circuiting part and connecting a visually observable checking means between the top end part and the short circuiting part. CONSTITUTION:The insulating block 41 and the short circuiting part 24 are successively fixed to the conductive top end part 22 having a U-shaped groove to form the bar having a prescribed shape; further, the handle part 21 is attached to the short circuiting part 24. The checking means 3 by viewing, for example, a neon lamp which is lighted by a specified voltage or above or the like is attached above the block 41 and the lead wires thereof are soldered to the top end part 22 and the short circuiting part 24. The collar 25 and a grounding wire 26 attached with a grounding terminal 27 are attached to the handle part 21. The electric charge of a capacitor 1 is discharged by the destaticization tool and after the tool is grounded by the terminal 27, a positive electrode 1a is brought into contact with the U groove of the top end part 22 and a negative electrode 1b into contact with the short circuiting part 24, then the residual charge of the capacitor 1 flows to the neon lamp of the means 3 and the danger by the residual change is visually checked by lighting up of the neon lamp.
