<p>PURPOSE:To decrease mist entrained in outlet gas of a gas-liquid contact tower with an improvement in gas-liquid contact efficiency, and to reduce load of mistcatcher at the outlet of treated gas and to prevent the reduction of performance. CONSTITUTION:A spray nozzle 3 is located at the lower part of an absorption tower 1. Above the spray nozzle 3 there is a spray nozzle 8 which has lager diameter than that of the spray nozzle 3. Liquid droplets entrained in gas from the spray nozzle 3 are collided and combined with liquid droplets atomised from a spray nozzle 6, said liquid droplets from the nozzle 6 having larger droplet size than that of the liquid droplets from the nozzle 3. The combined liquid droplets fall to the bottom of the tower. Thus, the amount of the entrained liquid droplets at the inlet of mist catcher 4 is greatly reduced.</p> |
