PURPOSE:To remove the deposit without stopping the operation by supplying water to remove the deposit when the temp. of the heat-transfer surface of the centrifugal film dryer or of the evaporation residue deposited on the heat- transfer surface exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of the heat-transfer surface 5a of the centrifugal film dryer 1 or of the evaporation residue deposited on the heat-transfer surface 5a is measured by a heat-transfer surface thermometer 6 or a residue thermometer 12. When one of the measured values exceeds a specified set value, the rotary vane 4 of the centrifugal film dryer 1 is temporarily stopped, and the stop valve 25 of a liq. supply pipe 20 is closed to stop the supply of waste liq. 21. Consequently, a part of the residue carried about by the rotary vane 4 falls into a discharge port 11 provided at the lower part by its own weight. Under such conditions, the rotary vane 4 is again rotated, the stop valve 34 of a water supply pipe 30 is opened to supply water, hence the heat-transfer surface 5a is cooled and contracted by the supplied water, and the deposited residue is stripped off. Subsequently, the water supply is stopped while rotating the rotary vane 4, and the supply of waste liq. 21 is resumed. |
