<p>A hydraulic (water) turbine for the generation of electrical power has a single vertical shaft upon which are mounted the turbine rotor, the flywheel, the generator rotor, the oil pump, and the power-output or turbine-speed controller. The system is free from clutches and transmissions which have hitherto been required to drive units associated with the turbine.</p> |
