Title compd. (I) with intrinsic viscosity>4.0, orientation angle<=22≦̸, and apparent crystal size<=52∦ was heated at 150≦̸C under the tension of a sufficient time to have an apparent crystal size>58∦ and orientation angle<13≦̸, and to make the initial fiber filament having transverse double refraction>=0.02 and tension>=0.5g/denier. The heating temp. of fiber was controlled that initial tensile strength and intrinsic viscosity were not decreased to >= 30%.
