PURPOSE:To prevent rust and corrosion from surrounding areas by means of an elastic hood section on the top of the substrate which is fastened on the open end of a window constructed integral with a retaining piece having molding retaining tooth. CONSTITUTION:A long synthetic resin fitting device 1 molded by extrusion conprises a substrate 2 and a retaining piece. Elastic hoods 4 and 4' are provided on the top of the substrate 2 and a retaining tooth 5 on the top of the retaining piece 3. First, the fitting device 1 is glued on an open end B with an adhesive tape A. Then, a glass G coated with an adhesive material S is placed on the open end B from above and fixed on the window with the adhesive material. Cut into the under surface of the shelter 4', the end of the molding M engages the retaining tooth 5. Thus, the molding wouldn't slip from the fitting device 1. The elastic shelters 4 and 4' elastically stops the clearance between the molding M and window open end. |
