A shoe sole arrangement has a large number of pairs of ribs which are provided between the midsole and the outsole. All ribs are provided with at least one curved or convex surface which runs in the longitudinal direction of the rib. At least one compression bridging element is inserted between adjacent pairs of ribs in order to prevent one rib of a pair of ribs coming into contact with a second rib of an adjacent rib pair.
