The seat comprises upholstery on the seat frame and an upholstered backrest also mounted on this frame, being particularly for use in buses. The lower face of the seat cushion has fixing devices arranged symmetrically round a vertical centre line so as to secure it detachably to the frame (1). The fixing devices (2) can be arranged in pairs, fitting over clamping pins. The seat cushion can be symmetrical about the vertical centre line and round or nearly square, the sides being curved outwards Alternatively it can be rectangular, with two opposite sides curved outwards. There can be a space of a few centimetres between the cushion and backrest upholstery, with a screen at the back of the latter joined onto the lower face of the seat cushion. |
