PURPOSE:To improve a cutting efficiency, with a less power required for the cutting, by applying a three-dimensional cut blade constitution especially simplified, in the case of a ball end mill in which the throw-away tip is screw tightened. CONSTITUTION:To the tip seat 3 of a shank 1, is fixed a throw-away tip 2 by a screw 6. In the throw-away tip 2, is constructed a lip edge 7, constituted by a rake face 8 and relief face 9, rotatinally symmetrically in a relation of expanding out. For the rake face 8, is partially used a conical face, with the construction made from a cone having a vertical angle of 90 deg., and its vertex coincides with the center point of the ball. A constitution of the three-dimensional lip and a use of the two- lip blade 7, being made capable, accomplishes the above described purpose. |
