PURPOSE:To enhance the controllability of camera by making rational focusing display, by varying the precision of focusing display depending on the depth of field, when making focusing display by driving the display means with the output of focusing detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the energy of the reflected radiation from the object is very weak, a signal from a photoelectric detection circuit D is fed into a level detection circuit C1 through amplifier A3 and integrator I3, and the input system of amplifiers A1, A2 is changed over by a switching circuit SW from the regular input system consisting of differential amplifier D1, synchronism detector K, and integrators I1, I2 to the input system consisting of constant position setting circuit C2. Thereby, when the depth of field is shallow, the focusing display precision by meter M is increased, and when the depth of field is deep, the focusing display precision by meter M is decreased. Thus, by taking the depth of field into consideration, practical and rational focusing may be performed. |
