The prefabricated panel is for incorporation in fire doors or building walls, comprising a slab of plaster, concrete or reinforced concrete of which the edges are formed by a metal channel section frame. The flanges of the channel turn in to lie flush with major panel faces. Fittings fixed to the internal faces of the channel webs may be used to locate reinforcement, external fittings and inter panel joints may be secured by spot welding to the frame, and alternative types of concrete aggregate may be used to obtain specific insulation properties.
