The shaft at both ends of the transmission clutch is uncoupled when the gear stick is moved from neutral to either forward or reverse. During this movement a rod turns, and a flap pushes against a return spring connector hydraulically joining the pump with the clutch reservoir, and thus disconnecting the shafts. A speed direction sensitive cam acts as the uncoupler by pressing on a plunger connecting a pump through pipes to a spring loaded shuttle connected tothe spring connector by a finger.
|
