The connector has a hexagonal sleeve (6) which connects at one end (7) of the pipe (2). The central portion (8) encloses the plastic pipe (4) which is fitted with an 'O' ring (14) and has grooves (11) and (12). A central sleeve (26) has an end cone (28) and has a lock nut (30) at the outer end. The metal connector (35) screws into the outer end of the sleeve. The metal connector holds the lock nut (30) against the washer (20).
