The grating consists of a number of parallel, rounded flat bars which form the top side of the floor. On the floor underside, these bars are joined togethery by round wires. The spacing of the flat bars of the top side corresponds to the size of the hoof-or claw of the animal held in the stall. The flat steel bars have a width of 12-13 mm and a height of 6-8 mm. When need for litter, the bar spacing is 8-9 mm when used for pigs it is 15-17 mm and when used for cattle it is 30-45 mm.
