The air pressure vessel contains two separate chambers, particularly intended for normal and emergency braking of a rail vehicle. It has a cylindrical housing (1), closed at both domed ends, and a domed intermediate partition. The housing consists of a tube section, with identical ends and a partition fitting with cylindrical flange portions (8) inside the housing diameter, and firmly secured. The partition may be secured inside the housing by a circumferential weld joint. The two domed end covers may be secured inside the housing ends by external circumferential weld joins.
