PURPOSE:To make possible stepless pass line adjustment inexpensively and prevent the decrease in working efficiency by disposing a multistage locker plate and an adjustable locker plate in the specified positions of the roll changing truck disposed to the underside of a rolling roll. CONSTITUTION:In the rolling mill having a roll changing truck 6 on the lower side of the lower backup roll 3 of a work roll 2, a staircase type locker plate 8 which is movable in the horizontal direction by a cylinder 9 is provided between the truck 6 and screw-down cylinder 4 and a liner adjusting type locker plate 7 on the upper side of the truck 6 and the pass line adjustment of the backup roll 3 of less changing frequencies is rapidly accomplished by the simple line type locker plate 7 and the pass line adjustment of the work roll 2 of higher changing frequencies by the staircase type locker plate 6 and screw-down cylinder 4. In this way, the pass line adjustment is steplessly acoomplished and the decrease in working efficiency owing to roll changing prevented. |
