The telephone exchange can build-up different kinds of connections: There are internal and external connections in PBX's, and there are trunk, international and intercontinental connections. The subscriber stations are entitled to all or only to a part of those connections. When a connection is built-up an entitlement code is read from an entitlement store and the connection is actually completed if the dialled connection corresponds to the stored entitlement code. In addition call time can also be stored, in case a time limit is applicable, or certain calls are limited to the time of the day, day of the week or calendar date.
