Motor vehicle window cable actuator - has split housing joined by rivet adjusting pinion and cable tube

The motor vehicle window is operated by a cable drive. The cable is driven by a pinion held within enclosing housing which also holds cable guide tube. One housing half (22) has contact face for holding the cable guide tube. The housing halves are connected and the specified position of the pinion (34) relative to the guide tube (14) can be adjusted. Housing parts are connected by a rivet. The rivet head projects beyond the housing parts and it passes through a slot in one housing part (20). The rivet head can be moved for adjusting the distance between the tube and pinion and the riveting is completed in the adjusted position.
