PURPOSE:To obtain an extract having an anticancer action in a dry state and a high concentration, by subjecting fruit bodies of coriolus versicolor to specific treatments, including hydrolysis with pectinase. CONSTITUTION:Fruit bodies of coriolus versicolor are extracted with hot water before autolysis, and the extract is cooled to 30-60 deg.C, reacted with pectinase, preferably at 40-45 deg.C and a pH of 3-4.5, and concentrated below the boiling point at normal or reduced pressure under heating to give a dry extract in a high concentration. The jellied concentrate is not formed by the action of the pectinase. |
