Tumbler type centrifuge has bowl mounted on a drive which is tilted with respect to the main axis of the centrifuge. A core is rotated at a different speed to remove cake. Feed enters from the top and flows over a perforated conical feed plate. Liquid is drawn off through the holes and the general vibration of the unit achieves a preliminary dewatering before the slurry enters the bowl. There is also a deflector plate under the feed plate. For use with tumbler centrifuges as described in 2736351. Allows uniform feed into the bowl without additional mechanism.
