A crane (5) is detachably secured to the intake elevator (3), and can be equipped with lifting ram (9), connected to a hydraulic pipe (10) on the duct for the reel adjustment. It can have extensible support feet (8), and can form half of a portal crane, the two halves of which are identical and are connected together by a gantry. The system allows the combine to be put to good use at times other than when grain harvesting.
