摘要 PURPOSE:The permanent magnet of superior energy product obtainable by adding transition metals such as Ti, Zr, Hf, etc. to the magnet alloy composed of Co-Mn- Fe-rare earth metal base alloy. CONSTITUTION:The magnet alloy of the composition expressed by general formula R(Co1-u-v-wMnu FevTw)Z. Here, o<u<=0.30, 0.50<v<=0.50, 0.001<w<=0.20, 6.5 <=z<=9.0 and R denotes one or two or more kinds of rare earth metals containing Y, Sc. T is the mixture of one or two or more kinds of Ti, Zr, Hf. PREPARATION:The raw material metals are melted in a high frequency furnace in Ar gas atmosphere and are made to ingot so as to have the composition expressed by the general formula. After rough grinding, it is finely ground down to about 5mum and the powder is press molded in a magnetic field of 15K Oe and the molding is sintered at 1200 to 1250 deg.C. After quenching in an Ar atmosphere, the sintered body is heat treated for 1100 to 1150 deg.C and is further heat treated for 1 hour at 700 to 800 deg.C and 8 to 10 hours at 400 to 500 deg.C, whereby the permanent magnet of large energy product is produced.
