New substd. phenoxy-amino-2-propanol derivs. are of formula (I) and their physiologically tolerable salts: (where R1 is isopropyl or tert-butyl). Also claimed are intermediates of formulae (II)-(V) (where X is Cl or Br; and R3 is Me or benzyl). (I) have beta-adrenolytic and hypotensive activity and can be used in the treatment of angina pectories, hypertension and arrhythmias.
