A developer material produced by the process comprising the steps of: mixing and melting together a developer composition comprising esterfied or hydrolyzed styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer and an organic acid or metal salt threof capable of reacting with a chromogenic electron donating colorless precursor to form a visible image; cooling said melted mixture to form a solid material is disclosed; and dispersing said solid material in a coating medium. The developer sheet is particularly useful in photosensitive imaging systems.
