The superstructure for permanent way without ballast consists of a substructure, and a prefabricated concrete slab on this, with prefabricated reinforced-concrete components let into it as support points for rails. Here application of concrete is preceded by introduction of a number of reinforced-concrete components (1a) at the same time, into a predetermined position, using a controllable, adjustable laying appliance. The soft concrete is then laid. The underside of the components can have ribs running one or both ways. Work can proceed continuously and independently, with precise sitting of rail support points largely achieved automatically.
