Date Feb. 21, 1980.A color television receiver has a decoder for producing red, green and blue driving currents which are applied to red, green and blue control circuits, respectively, for combining these three colors to establish one of seven colors on a screen of a cathode ray tube in accordance with a received signal. A current divider is connected between the decoder and each of the red, green and blue control circuits for dividing each of the driving currents into a plurality of current components having different levels. The current components are combined with each other in a combination defined by the received signal for producing a predetermined level of color driving current so that all the colors can be reproduced with a predetermined level of brightness. |
