PURPOSE:To record pictures with clear light and shade by lowering the drive signal repetition frequency for realizing the higher density region than the frequency for the lower density region and increasing the time of appliance of the drive signal, thereby to enlarge the tint region which can be realized. CONSTITUTION:A circuiting is constituted with a pulse generator 1 generating pulses having a constant pulse width, an amplitude varying circuit 2 responsive to the image signal a to vary the amplitude of the pulse generated by the pulse generator 1 and a head driving circuit responsive to the drive signal from the circuit 2 to drive the electrically biased vibrating reed of the head 4. Another circuitry is constituted with a frequency varying circuit 5 responsive to the signal a to vary the repetition frequency of the pulse generator 1 and a pulse varying circuit 6. These circutries are arranged in parallel. These circuitries may, for example, perform amplitude varying for the low density region and pulse varying for the high density region, thereby to jet out ink accordingly. Thus a wide optical density recording can be realized with a single nozzle diameter. |
