PURPOSE:To make a high speed printing maintaining its printing quality in a good condition by moving a dot matrix printer in a specific direction and at a specific speed relating a printing head with blanks. CONSTITUTION:A printing head mounting suitable numbers of printing elements 3(1), 3(2),...3(n) on a base is set to the printing location 1a of a printing blank 1. The head 3 is swept at a right angle to the feed direction of the blank by a harizontal sweeping mechanism 4 and in parallel with the moving direction of the blank at the printing location 1a by a vertical sweeping mechanism 5. The vertical reciprocating sweep period of the printing head 3 is let to be half as much as the horizontal one and the feed speed of the blank 1 is let to be equal to the vertical sweep speed of the head 3. Accordingly, no reptition of rapid move and stop of the blank will happen and the printing quality will be deteriorated by vibration of the blank, too. |
