<p>A photographic camera with a flash provision makes use of an electromechanical mechanism of which one part (27) has two possible operating positions, specifically against and away from solenoid M1. In one position (against the solenoid M1) it serves to initiate charging of the flash facility (via switch S2), and in the other position it serves to operate the shutter (via 33 and 34). A shutter release device (button 30) serves to operate switch means (S1, S4) at least to activate an electronic control circuit (Figure 4 not shown) and to control the position of said one part (27) according to ambient light levels. The flash facility is activated by other switch means (S2, S3) operated by the said one part (27) to control latching (31) of that part according to whether or not the flash is ready to operate. <IMAGE></p> |
