The single spring clip (15) is a flat strip bent into semicircular shape. it encloses a wiring accessory (3), e.g. switch, oven socket, within the arc of its semicircle, and lies in the same plane as the accessory. Lugs (7, 8) on the accessory block (3) fit freely into holes (16, 17) in the spring. One lug (7) bears against the box (10) wall. By pressing the clip-accessory assembly into the box the spring clip (15) is compressed and exerts an interference fit at its serrated ends (18). The locating an (7) also presses on the box wall and assists in centering the block (3).
