The scissor linkage between the fixed and moving frames of a window ensures that the moving frame can be opened by tilting or by parallel movement of the fixed frame. The scissor linkage arrangement (5, 6) has two scissor arms pivoted on the opposite side struts of the moving frame (1). Both these arms are actuated directly by the actuator strip (3) able to slide on the outside of the moving frame. The actuator is a perforated flexible metal endless strip placed around the moving frame. On this strip are connected sliding blocks for lever actuation. Parallel movement may be generated by a sliding counterweighted pulley and rope mechanism.
|
