<p>PURPOSE:To deodorize malodorous exhaust water without causing secondary environmental pollution, by releasing malodorous components contained in the exhaust water from a first and a second aeration tanks into the gas phase, and by directly oxidizing the exhaust gas released from the aeration tanks. CONSTITUTION:Malodorous exhaust water 1 is charged to a first aeration tank 2a from the upper part and is allowed to flow downward to the bottom. While flowing down, the exhaust water 1 comes into contact with air bubbles 3a flowing upward from an air-diffusing pipe 21a provided at the tank bottom so as to remove most of the malodorous components of high vapor press. Then the exhaust water is charged to the upper part of a second aeration tank 2b so as to be brought into contact with bubbles of ozonized air 5 delivered from an ozonizer 7 to oxidize the malodorous components of low vapor press. contained in the exhaust water 1b in order to deodorize the exhaust water. Aerated gas 3a formed in the first aeration tank 2a is cooled by a heat exchanger 9 to remove moisture. The moisture removed aerated gas 3b together with the aerated gas 5a formed in the second aeration tank 2b is fed to a catalytic oxidizing vessel 11, where those gases come into contact with a catalyst heated to high temp. in order to decompose malodorous components and unreacted ozone to form a odorless gas 3d, which is discharged.</p> |
