PURPOSE:To provide the subject material wherein 20 to 90 % by weight of tungsten-titanium alloy particles of a specific weight ratio are diffused and contained in silver or copper thereby to improve the speed of processing the discharge processing electrode material and reduce its consumption ratio. CONSTITUTION:In silver or copper there are diffused and contained 20 to 90 % by weight of tungsten-titanium alloy particles in which the weight ratio of titanium to tungsten Ti/W is 0.002 to 1.0, and further 0 to 5 % by weight of an element of iron group, thereby to prepare a discharge processing electrode material. By forming the electrode in this manner, the speed of processing said material increases and the electrode consumption ratio reduces.
